So, I have a project where I need to create a character and its environment - sculpted model and everything that comes with it. I came up with a character who is a poor gypsy traveler who has made their home under a bridge in London, England (early 1900's) next to a canal. For a living they travel up into the city everyday to entertain the citizens of London. The catch is that Evangeline, my character, has two sons that she carries with her everywhere she goes in a little basket (or swaddle) on her back. They're very rowdy and obnoxious buggers who, when she performs, like to steal from the audience's pockets and bring their spoils home. Evangeline is not a fan, although she was brought up a devious thief and deceiver. Because Evangeline made the decision to keep her children and raise them on her own reveals her true character, as true gypsies wouldn't be as sympathetic. I thought even further in the story and considered the two boys (I will name them and flesh them out soon). As they grow older, they begin to reveal their own unique talents and abilities, each one growing more popular and famous in London for their wit. One boy will grow up to be greedy, and the other honest.
